Online California Achievement Test with near-instant, emailed results. This is a timed test.
This 1970 edition California Achievement Test is for students entering grades 2 through 12. It covers the following subject areas: Reading (vocabulary and comprehension), Mathematics (computation and concepts & problems), and Language (mechanics, usage & structure, and spelling). The test for entering grade 2 also includes Auding.
Scores reported will offer a grade equivalent score, but also percentile and stanine rankings for each of the individual test sections. You will receive your test results by email shortly after the test is completed.
Ordering Instructions:
- Enter the FIRST NAME and LAST NAME of the student to be tested in the spaces provided.
- Select the GRADE ENTERING; not the student's current grade.
- COMPOSITE SCORING is included with your test. If you do not need it, you may check the "No" option.
- Indicate if you would like to add the RECOMMENDATION SERVICE service to your test (explained below).
- Please enter information only for one student at a time, then select the Add To Cart button.
- If you wish to purchase testing services for additional students, or wish to make other purchases, select the Continue Shopping link after viewing your shopping cart.
You will receive an email with details about registering to take the test shortly after completing your order. In most cases we are able to send the information within an hour but there may be times where it takes longer - up to 1 business day.

*Please note that the California Achievement Test has a 1 year expiration date.
Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Wonderful Experience
This online test was wonderful! As a first year homeschool mom I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with the ease, flexibility and instant results. We made the purchase to meet state requirements for the end of year test evaluation. Our daughter is entering 5th grade and was able to take the entire test in one sitting with the built-in breaks CLP established with the test. The test was well laid out explaining each section and the time allotted. The built in timer kept our daughter on pace and aware of how much time she had left for every section. The results were emailed right after she completed, which was great for our daughter to see after her hard work. This will be our way to go in the future!

Very easy and flexible to use
Used for my 7th grader as an end of year assessment tool. Very much liked being able to administer at home and receiving the results so quickly. I did wonder, though, after the fact, about the reliability and validity of the results because she did so well on them, if they were too easy and not a truly accurate reflection of her abilities, the edition being of 1970's, etc. Not sure what others are experiencing...

Online version was awesome!
My 9th-grade daughter thought it was great and so did I. It was easy to use-- no more setting the timer for me or filling in small circles for her. The test went quickly and smoothly, and having instant test results was a definite plus!

Easy and quick return for homeschool moms like me
I love how quick and easy it was to order! My son took the test and had results right away to turn into our school district for portfolio's. Couldn't immagine using any other after using this one!

Great product and service
Everything from the quick transaction to receiving the results immediately after the test was wonderful. My daugther enjoyed taking the test online and was able to focus very well. I recommend this product because it was easy to use, non-stressful, and helped us see the progress our daughter made during the course of the year.

CAT online but a minor glitch
I really liked that this was an online test and that the results were shown immediately. The problem I incurred was with the sound. I did the sound test - it didn't work, so I did the 'fix' it gave, which corrected the sound. But, after starting the test, the sound didn't work again, so the time clock for the test kept ticking while I had to scramble to download Google Chrome to get it to work properly. So, my son did not have as much time to complete the test as he should have. Also, it would be nice if the time clock kept counting down time while working on a problem. It is a little deceptive. All in all, we did like the test for it's convenience and low cost!

We could not be happier with the convenience and cost of this test. We needed a test with immediate results for a PSEO application. This was it! We had the results the same day and the support service was absolutely wonderful when I called with questions.
