Online California Achievement Test with near-instant, emailed results. This is a timed test.
This 1970 edition California Achievement Test is for students entering grades 2 through 12. It covers the following subject areas: Reading (vocabulary and comprehension), Mathematics (computation and concepts & problems), and Language (mechanics, usage & structure, and spelling). The test for entering grade 2 also includes Auding.
Scores reported will offer a grade equivalent score, but also percentile and stanine rankings for each of the individual test sections. You will receive your test results by email shortly after the test is completed.
Ordering Instructions:
- Enter the FIRST NAME and LAST NAME of the student to be tested in the spaces provided.
- Select the GRADE ENTERING; not the student's current grade.
- COMPOSITE SCORING is included with your test. If you do not need it, you may check the "No" option.
- Indicate if you would like to add the RECOMMENDATION SERVICE service to your test (explained below).
- Please enter information only for one student at a time, then select the Add To Cart button.
- If you wish to purchase testing services for additional students, or wish to make other purchases, select the Continue Shopping link after viewing your shopping cart.
You will receive an email with details about registering to take the test shortly after completing your order. In most cases we are able to send the information within an hour but there may be times where it takes longer - up to 1 business day.

*Please note that the California Achievement Test has a 1 year expiration date.
Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Convenient Test Taking for MOMS!
This is a great way to have my children tested each year. My nine year old sits down and my computer and just plugs away. I love that it gives my daughter a chance to be timed. Very good for her to experience. I have recommended this to many friends.

Awesome
This was as easy easy as 1.2.3. I recommend this to all homeschool teachers. Very helpful my son at age 11 had no problem getting through the test it was self explanitory.

Couldn't Be Easier to Use
We have used this testing service a few times and have been very pleased with it. The test results arrive in my e-mail immediately. It doesn't include a composite score, so I just call the staff and they calculate that and send it to me. They have always been very friendly, accomodating, and prompt.

Convenient standardized testing
I just ordered this to test my daughters baseline knowledge at the beginning of the school year. It was nice to be able to take the test online and the fee was reasonable. After the entire test is completed, results were emailed within minutes. I will be using it again at the end of the school year.

CAT 5 Online test
This was a wonderful option for us to do our first required standardized testing. I didn't have to worry about time delays in receiving paper tests or waiting to hear results in the mail. The convenience factor was our first consideration, but it also gave our boys the opportunity to test on the computer, which is often how testing is done now at the college level, so it familiarizes them with future expectations.

Online CAT Test- A Convenient Testing Option
We have purchased the Christian Liberty Online CAT Tests for the past two years, and we have found them to be very convenient. The tests can be taken whenever we have time, and the results are received within minutes! I will be using Christian Liberty's Online CAT Test every year that we homeschool.

Fast eval but no history!
Pros: Results were quick and easy; I received them the same day. Customer service was excellent. Comparisons are nationally normed to the 70s, which makes them tougher. Cons: History, literature, and government are totally ignored. This CAT only tests math and other English topics. After how much time we spent on studying history this year, I felt the overall test measure was too narrow.
