Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Fast and Easy To Use
All three of my kids used the CAT online testing this year, and all three thought it was the best way to test. Clear, easy to follow directions and fast grade reporting. We will use this every year from now on. Great tech support also, very friendly and helpful.

Testing the way it should be!
Great, convenient, at home under controlled environment the way it should be. It took the fear out of testing for my child. No need for a paid proctor with an unnecessary degree. Thank you Christian Liberty!

Couldn't see the whole screen
My son (did the "going into 3rd grade test on-line) did it on our laptop, which has a pretty decent size screen. However, I had to scroll through each page for him (moving the screen down so he could see it when he was done reading the information at the top of the page). For that reason alone, I will not order the on-line version again. I will, however, order the paper version from CLP of the CAT as the test was very good. Another reason I will do the paper test is from the perspective of the math problems. When they're more difficult (ie: 134+456), my son had to write the problem on his scratch paper and then solve it. If it were already on paper (doing the paper version) he could have just started working and not had to write out the problem first. So, overall, the test is great, it would just be best to do it via paper.

Easy to take, Not easy to read results
Just had my 12 year old take the online version, but I would love to know WHAT she missed and her percentage on each section. Although it was simple to take, I would love to be able to get back more complete results. Instead, I get foreign-to-me grade equivelent, stanine scale, and ranking, from 1970 I presume.

Finally, Testing for the Modern Era :)
My daughter was put at ease with this test! No scary fill in bubbles, no big test booklets... Just common sense testing but done online. I highly recommend!

Convenient, Inexpensive, Easy!
Our family loves the convenience of being able to fill our state's testing requirements without leaving home! With nine kids in the house, from teenagers to infants, testing can be a real hassle. Not any more! We have been using Christian Liberty's testing since we found it! This is definately the best option out there!

Excellent for Homeschoolers
This was perfect for us to fill our state's requirement. The price was right, the online process was painless, the directions for the test were clear, and the results were immediate. One of my children even said, "That was kinda fun! When can I take it again?" Thanks

No Trick Questions!
The CAT 70' is easy for the student to use. My daughter has trouble understanding directions and this was very clear. Some state testing actually seem to try to trick the student. I did feel that this version was a bit too easy in relationship to the expectations of current grade levels.

Easy to Use Test
The on-line version of the test was easy to use, and helped us fulfill our requirement with our school district for standardized testing. I will definitely be using this service again.
