Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Online CAT
I really enjoyed the online format. Super easy to administer. My daughter had no trouble at 7 years old clicking on answers. I told her it was a "game" to see how smart she was. She thought she was getting every answer correct (even though she wasn't) but it built her confidence as she went along. (I didn't tell her they were wrong) I loved the online instant results.

Best CAT Format
Having my son to take this test at home on the computer was the best way for us! After homeschooling for 20+ years, this was the most convenient, economical, easy and comfortable way for my child to take the test (and for Mom, too). The results came instantly through the site (not my email). The only thing I would advise is DO NOT go back once you click on the particular section of the test. If you decide to go back for any reason, it will mark you as having taken the test. However, when this happened to me, I simply called the outstanding customer service representatives and they immediately straightened the problem out. Also, someone should design the page layout better, as we had to keep scrolling down to see the choices (even on my huge monitor). Still, I'll be back for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 more tests! Thanks Christian Liberty! Keep up the good work. I like the site layout, too, and the ease of purchasing.

good test overall some font needs improved
The test is very good overall, great that your child's results are instant. Loved that she could take this at home. For the language parts the font is small and very narrow margins it was difficult to see where one sentence ended and another began. I read the language sections to my daughter or else she would have gotten lost. The font size on the reading is very small though the margins are better. Math, spelling, vocab were fine. Glad we used it, hope they can upgrade in a few areas.

So easy and fast.
I loved watching my children taking the CAT test online this year. So much easier than the booklets and bubbles. It was so quick for them. Stress free testing. We will definitely do it again year after year. We even had an error, and the lady there fixed our problems without any issues, and they are super nice and customer oriented.

Easy for my daughter to read and navigate on her own.
I was nervous about doing a test at home but after a few panic attacks during the math, my daughter (6th grade) became comfortable with the way the test was set up. Once she relaxed, she actually enjoyed taking the test.

Great customer service
We had to have test reset so I called and they were very friendly and willing to work with me. The only thing we didn't like was having to scroll down a little after each problem to hit next. This wastes time. On paper you would not have this problem. Love that you get the results immediately.

Very convenient!
As long as you have a good internet connection this is a good choice.

Good product, quick results
Great price! I got the link quickly. She took the test and I had accurate results instantly, which was terrific. There were a few confusing instructions for a third grader and it was difficult for her to go back to check her answers, which is a feature I would love to see improved. Overall, I will probably use this again with my other children.

Technical problems
I had a lot of problems with this test. First when I ordered it I didn't receive a link for one of my children and I had to call and wait 24 hours for a link. The next problem I had was when my children were finished I looked at the score and the page with the score showed on the date test taken line that the test was incomplete. I had to call again and technical support had to work on it for three days to fix this problem. In the middle of my daughter taking her test the test froze and kicked her out and I had to call again and have that part of the test reset. I had so many problems I will never order this again. One last thing I don't like about this test is where it gives the grade your child is in on the test it says grade entering which is very confusing. The test should just say grade 5 for example. All the other tests out there you can take that I am aware of just simply say Grade not Grade Entering.
