Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty Press now includes composite scores with the test results. This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

highly recommended!
I searched high and low on the web for a simple and effective test we could administer at home and which satisfies the requirements of our state test. It's the first year we are testing our daughter so we opted for the paper test rather than the online one - the option to use paper instead of online is really helpful. This 1970 CAT test is an answer to prayer and we're most grateful to the Lord that Christian Liberty provides this unique offering to the homeschooling community - it's straightforward, easy to administer, aligned with biblical teaching, elegantly designed, proven, and effective in its measurement of achievement. The test arrived well packaged and protected and we were able to complete it on one Saturday. Instruction to administer the test is very clear. This test and Christian Liberty's service really have helped take one important load off my and my wife's shoulder in homeschooling and as a homeschooling parent I'm sure you can appreciate what that means. I prayed and will continue to pray that the Psalm 91 protection and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will be upon Christian Liberty and this test so that the test can continue to be available for many years to come. Please, if you are a user of this test, join me in praying for protection and provision for Christian Liberty and this test as you pray for ongoing protection and provision of your other homeschooling material/curriculum suppliers. Thank you and God bless, hope this review is useful to you.

Number one choice.
I really like this test. I find it very easy to understand and I feel as though most of it is common sense. Which there is also a down side. I am a average A&B student but I find this test easy. So I think anyone would be able to use it and understand it. I would recommend it and in fact I have to my friends.

Outdated
The test that I received was from 1970. If I knew this beforehand, I would have ordered a different test. I found it a bit outdated.

easy; user friendly
Read all the directions through before administering, and you should have no problems! I am so thankful to be able to have my homeschooled child take this CAT test; for the requirements from the state I live in.. And for my own piece of mind.

CAT TEST
I've used the CAT test for years. I believe it is challenging, but not scary for my children. Although I will most likely stay with the CAT test, I will ONLY order from Christian Liberty as they have very kind and patient people who take my order!!

California Achievement Test
After our first year of homeschooling our two kids, ages 6 and 8, we purchased this test to see what the kids had learned and where we have gaps. The level 1 test for my child that just completed first grade was easy to understand, but required the proctor to be very hands on for reading many of the items. The level 3 test is designed for kids entering 4th, 5th, and 6th and is more hands-off for the proctor. It is also clear and easy to understand. My child had the most difficulty with the short amount of time allowed for each section. It will be interesting to see what the scores look like when we get them back.
