Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Good results
Good results summary, easy to understand instructions, easy for my child to follow along and has break times after each section for children like mine who have problems staying focused for long periods of time. I would recommend this test for any homeschool parent and any parent with child who have ADD.

Quick and Easy
This has been the quickest and easiest testing experience my family has ever had. Of course it wont allow you to cheat or stretch out the timing so it may not be appropriate for certain needs kids cases. No concerns about marking in the circles completely or erasing filled in circles when changing an answer. It's especially wonderful for all of us who tend to wait for the last minute. Christian Liberty almost instantly sent weblink and access code upon completed order and then the results were generated immediately. Highly recommend!

My children actually enjoyed their CAT test
My children actually enjoyed taking the online version of this test. We liked how the sections were divided. My 8 year old liked the clock on the screen to keep up with her time. My 6 year old liked the blue button that read the questions for him. This was very simple for my children to take. I was concerned they would not do as well because they did not have any prior computer experience. However, they did fine with minimal 'mouse' practice before we tested. We'll use this method again.

CAT Online; Built In Breaks and Score Within Minutes
At first I was worried with a child diagnosed with ADHD taking an online test. I was very pleased that the times varied among the tests and he was able to get up and stretch between breaks, the subjects were divided so that he didn't take all math and all reading at one time.

Easy to Administer CAT Standardized Test
The CAT is a wonderful and easy to administer test. I have used the online version for two years and both years have gone flawlessly. CLP has wonderful customer service in case you have made a mistake when administering a portion of the test. The immediate results are super helpful. My son is profoundly gifted and the scores from the CAT are accepted from all the CTY programs at major universities. I home school our son and this test also covers my state's requirements for standardized testing.

California Achievement test-online
We were very pleased that there was an online version of this test. We needed the results right away, and they were sent to us within an hour after completing it. Also, there was no time limit for breaks between the sections, which really helped since I don't have any help with the younger children while the tester was testing. Some sections last less than 10 minutes, but two are almost a half hour. If you are away from the test for a while it idles and you have to sign in again, but everything you've done is saved for you. We had only one technical issue that gobbled up valuable time. One section uses sound bytes or the tester to hear a word and then choose the correct spelling. If we clicked on the arrow to hear the word, nothing happened-we had to click all over near the arrow to find the hidden spot to click. I don't know if it would have worked differently with an actual mouse instead of the one on the touch pad. Another feature that would have been helpful would be to break down the results in individual sections to see specifically what areas were weakest. Overall, though, we were very pleased with the format and how fast we were able to get results.
