Greatly Lacking In Detail
The test will not give you an overall percentile rank. It does give you a percentile rank and grade equivalent for each individual section of Math, Reading, and Language. My child said that it didn't give clear instructions on the language portion and her score was much lower in that section than we had anticipated. Everything else was scored how we expected. If you want more accurate and details then you should take the CAT. Plus, the CAT is less expensive.

New To Homeschooling
I needed to know which curriculum to purchase, so I had my 3rd grader take the 3rd grade test and he passed. His principal at public school thought if we had tested him for 5th or 6th grade he would have done just as well on some of it, but we won't be paying for 2 more tests.

Testing for Kindergarten
The reading portion was very well done, but the math left much to be desired. It really only focused on numbers and addition, nothing in the way of the other math categories. Also the directions were confusing for a child that had never tested before.

Excellent test, need more in results
The test is immediate, economical price, easy to use (interface, logging in and out), and you get instant results. The results was an accurate assessment. I rated this test two stars down because I expected an analysis with the placement results. I thought the analysis of the actual categories of skills would be in the test results. To be fair, this is a placement test, not an achievement test. Still, I didn't realize that the results would simply be the grade/month level (3.0 for third grade, 3.8 for third grade last part of the year). That's it. If you know this ahead of time, you can take your own notes as the student tests (if they don't mind your hanging around!). Other than this, I DO recommend this placement test and thank you to Christian Liberty Press for making it available. It is worth the money.

Testing for Homeschooler
This is what I was looking for to see if my homeschooler was on-level for his grade. My only disappointment was the math section. I felt there could have been a lot less about roman numerals and more with fractions, multiplication, and division. So I took a star off for that. (I selected the 4th grade test.) Still, I would use this test again.

Great test for home schoolers.
I have been home schooling my daughter since 4th grade (she's now finishing 9th grade). She's a bright girl and understands things quite quickly. However, she really stresses over tests, especially ones with a time constraint. Because of that, she's always shown poorly on her test scores. This test gave her the opportunity to show what she knew without the pressure of a timer. She did much better on this than she did on the comparable sections of the other test.

Great Test
Good way to determine where your child is.

Preferred the CAT5
I used this with my children to ensure we were ready to move up to the next grade. I thought using the CAT5 for this purpose much better, as it mirrors standard tests more closely.
