It's really great and is affordable for quality products.
This curriculum is so well organized, especially with me being newer to homeschooling. It is laid out with ideas of what to cover each week and how to use the curriculum together. You can also do an independent plan if that suits you better.
I really like the way this program is set up. I taught preschool for 8yrs before beginning to homeschool my children. This is the best complete set I have ever laid my eyes on. My four year old loves to do her "cool work" as she calls it. She is the first one to beg to do school everyday. You cannot go wrong with this excellent product.
I was dissatisfied with the CLASS Planner. I had ask specifically if the planner came with daily lesson plans and was told "yes". Luckily, I do have a background in developing lesson plans for school curriculum. Otherwise, the curriculum would have been very overwhelming a a first time homeschooler. I also feel there is a lot of material involving stories, although they are short, preschool aged children seem to learn more easily hands on due to short attention spans.
I really like this curriculum. As a first timer I really need the extra guidance that this pack provides. I haven't actually started teaching from it yet as the school year has not begun, but I anticipate a fun time.
I think this curriculum is really good, but I thought the readers were not necessary for this age. They were not entertaining and would be better suited for a child learning to read (perhaps in kindergarten). Trottino's Tale would be better suited for kindergarten as well. We have really enjoyed the drill and activity books as well as the ABC books. The Bible Nuggetts book and wb were not available when we bought our set a year ago, but they look like they would be good choices as well.
Started using this curriculum with my four year old son a month ago. We love it! The activity book is colorful and captures his attention. The drill book is fantastic for more practice. I absolutely love the teachers guide which gives you ideas for crafts, activites, and snacks for each unit as well as a Bible story reference and a scripture memory verse. I compared a lot of curriculums before purchasing this one. Some were very expensive and mostly because of all the "projects" to do which I thought was too much anyway. This one is a perfect balance. To go along with this, we have a poster of the upper/lower case alphabet and numbers. Also, flash cards to help match lower/upper case letters. Overall, we are very pleased and look forward to purchasing the Kintergarden curriculum next year!
This product is what I was looking for as a curriculum for an advanced 3-year-old. It is missing, I think, more direction for the parent regarding Bible teaching, letter and number formation and ways to bring more social studies and science in at this level. Otherwise, I think it's a great starter for the preschooler. I have taught 2 of my own and numerous others at home so don't need the extra information, but it might be helpful for a first-time home schooler.
