Spelling
I haven't used this very long which I why I only gave it 4 stars, but so far it is the best spelling curriculum I've ever used! I first used Book 4 for my 10 y.o. son who has a photographic memory and gets bored easily with spelling lists. I found this program to be challenging enough with the different activities and lessons that teach the specific spelling rules - not just random lists with no correlation or theme. It is also great because I can tailor it to his ability. We do a pretest on the words and just focus on the ones that he got wrong, while still completing the daily lessons and activities to learn the phonetic rules and patterns. It is so great! I have only used Book 2 with my 8 y.o. son for a couple of weeks and love it just as much. He has always struggled with spelling so I like that Level 2 starts with quite basic words, but they are also challenging enough that he's not bored. It also has different activities each day that focus on phonetic rules as well as writing the list words for visual memory. What I love most about it is that it's a Christian curriculum and incorporates Bible verses and asking God to help them with their studies. I finally found the perfect spelling curriculum that works with both of my boys' learning styles!
