In this course, the student will study parts of speech, writing mechanics and style, sentence structure, and clause types. In addition, the student will begin to learn how to apply these elements by composing short stories and essays of various types. The course also introduces the student to the basics of developing a writing style as well as journalistic and figurative writing. Materials include a workbook, a teacher’s manual, and ten tests, all published by Christian Liberty Press. Students are required to complete all tests as well as workbook and composition exercises. Prerequisite: Applications of Grammar Book Two (or equivalent).
